Amarnath Yatra involves trekking and staying overnight in tents. Laborers and ponys are used by Amarnath Yatris in the journey. Shri Amarnathji Shrine board has released the rates and various charges for the journey in 2012. Yatra Registration began on May 7, 2012. Yatra duration in 2012 is from June 25 to August 2. Baltal to Holy Cave and back – Riding on Pony – Rs. 2700/-
